JASY RALF HANS WITSCH

Written by Terry Conner

Kari’s first child, and he arrived looking like a miniature Ralf.  He was a large baby at 9 lbs., 7oz and has remained wonderfully tall.  Because he has always been big for his age, people expected so much more of this child, but then, they thought he was 2 or 3 years older than he actually was!  Once a person found out his real age, his accomplishments were impressive.

This young man is extremely bright.  Truly gifted in the brains department, his insatiable love of learning earns him excellent grades and varied scholastical triumphs.  He has an astounding vocabulary and his searching questions often sent this Nana running to the dictionary or encyclopedia.  He loves to write and has already written a variety of short stories…pretty good ones too!  He also loves to read and can often be found with his nose buried in a book.

We often played cribbage, and I must admit, he won more times than I did.  When he decided to take up chess, it was only a few weeks before he gave me a real run for my money.  And, true to his heritage, this boy loves to play poker!  Not real good at bluffing yet, but he’s getting there!

Jasy became a big brother at 5 and again at 8.  He helps with his younger siblings and babysits frequently.  A very dependable young man!  Because both parents work, he does a lot of chores around the home to help out.  A major asset to their family.

He loves music and often sings using his parents karaoke equipment.  He has great stage presence.  In December of 1998, he received a saxophone for his birthday.  He had not had any musical training prior to this, and by April was sitting second chair in his school band.  We’re talking talent!  We are also talking hard work and dedication.

Jasy loves animals and has a unique gift with them.  I think they instinctively know of his big heart and loving ways and trust him totally.  He got his very own kitten, Max, for Christmas 1997.  He took care of all his needs, trained him, taught him tricks, and that animal adores him.

While they lived in Florida, we had many dinners at my home.  Jasy was my number one helper.  I sat him next to the sideboard, and he was my server.  What a great job he did…making sure everyone got everything they wanted, and in the proper order too.

On top of all this, Jasy is one of the most sensitive people it has been my honor to know.  He takes everything to heart.  He truly cares and he loves deeply.  I know that being this sensitive hurts his feelings from time to time, but I believe that when all is said and done, being this kind and loving will serve him well.

He truly cares and loves deeply.  It is no wonder that he is deeply loved in return.
